Past Impact Recipients

Every three months, our members come together to create an impact on the community through the selection of a local charity. Along with our donation, we also promote awareness for these charities. To date, we have donated over $100,000 to local non-profit organizations.

We are thrilled that the Best Buy Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation will continue their donation match for our 2020 award recipients. Best Buy Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation.

About the Nonprofit

Helping Hands for Our Children in the Chippewa Valley (HHFOC) was implemented to actively involve our community in the success of our community’s children.

The organization started with helping a handful of families in need to provide some of the basic, every day essentials that many children were living without. Today the group has grown to over 6100 members and is run exclusively by volunteers and supported by donations of children’s clothing, furniture (cribs, changing tables, rockers, etc) and infant items (car seats, high chairs, baby swings, etc), holiday meals, backpack supplies and weighted blankets for the disabled.

Hope Village of Chippewa Falls

Hope Village ofChippewa County Impact Award Recipient

Congratulations to Hope Village of Chippewa Falls on being our February 2020 award recipient! Together, we donated over $20,000 to this organization in less than an hour!

About the Nonprofit

Hope Village was founded in January of 2016. Our vision is to offer tiny housing alternatives for those that reside in Chippewa County, WI. Hope Village will eventually be a community of 12 tiny homes nestled together and around a common building that will be the hub of the community. The common building will house the bathrooms, showers, laundry facilities, a community room, kitchen, meeting space, a maker space/shop, and retail space. We have researched various tiny home villages for the un-sheltered and want Hope Village to take the best of each, with the hopes of making Hope Village a great place to live and an asset to our community.

Each tiny home will have a sleeping area, a private bathroom area that will house a chemical toilet as you would find in an RV, a Kitchenette that will include a microwave and mini-refrigerator. Each house will cost about $5000.00 to build using volunteer labor and a mixture of new and recycled materials.
